WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATURE 2025 CONVENES ON JANUARY 13th

​The 2025 regular ​session begins on Monday January 13, 2025 and is expected to last 105 days (a long session), ending on Sunday April 27, 2025. The last day the governor has to take action on a bill is Tuesday May 20, 2025, and the 90-day effective date is Sunday July 27, 2025. If the 2025 session ends before the 105th day these dates will change accordingly. 

The Washington State Legislature website has been redesigned and has easy access to prefiled bills, important session dates and planning your visit to the Capitol (which includes parking information), to mention just a few. Further, Intercity Transit has added a new Route 14  – offering 30-minute weekday service between the Olympia Farmers Market, State Capitol Campus, and Olympia Transit Center. Similar to their pre-COVID Dash service, Route 14 will improve access to the Washington State Capitol from downtown office buildings, businesses, other transit routes, and nearby parking.
